Hard facts, big chores – Die Arbeitsrealität Comicschaffender

One of the first milestones of the Comic Union is an empirical study on the socio-economic situation of comic workers in the German-speaking region. The study was conceived by a working group of the Comic Union in cooperation with Jana Rutar, Romain Becker, and Katharina Serles, and financially supported by documenta fifteen. It is the first of its kind and includes demographic factors to enable an intersectional analysis. The evaluation was conducted by Romain Becker in collaboration with the working group of the Comic Union and with the support of the House of Freelancers. The results are visualized by the Comic Union and will be comprehensively presented for the first time with the assistance of the Comic Salon.
