Elvira Bernhardt studied Communication Design at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich (Bachelor of Arts) and Design and Communication Strategy at the University of Applied Sciences in Augsburg (Master of Arts). Since 2018, she has been working independently as an illustrator, author and designer. In the context of design, she is fascinated by both the power of words and the strong impact of images. Therefore, she dedicates herself to writing with as much devotion as to drawing and finds an inexhaustible source of topics and formats in the interaction of these two elements. During her study abroad semester at Falmouth University (MA Illustration: Authorial Practice) Elvira Bernhardt laid the foundation for her current comic project “Anton and the Octopus”, which she continued to elaborate in the comic seminar 2023.
