kL52 aka Sebastian Lohmaier has been working as a graffiti artist and illustrator for more than 15 years now. At a very early stage in his career he already developed his own style by combining spraypaints, markers and brushes for all the different disciplines out there. A big influence in his work is the experience of growing up and living in the 80s and 90s. His sincere love for the iconic action heroes of this time is affected by the ethics and mood of their stories. In his figural designs he is melting classic comics, cartoons and pop culture into a matrix with a unique graffiti surface. His protagonists are performing in different situations with a big sense of humor. Their facial expression is always highly reconizable by the unmistakable design of their eyes and bold distinctive strokes. Avoiding unnecessary perfection and being prepared to work on himself everyday - this artist is staying true to himself. Fun is the main ingrediant of his art - and by saying so, you should never forget: Don't grow up, it's a trap!
