Marlene Krause

Marlene Krause was born in the Ruhr area in 1984. In 2010 she received her diploma from HAW Hamburg, class Feuchtenberger. In 2012 she completed her Masters at the UdK Berlin, class Wagenbreth. 2007-12 she was co-editor of TwoFastColour together with Luka Lenzin. She is the author of the books "À un autre endroit", "Maud", "Momento Móvil", "L'art de vestir-se bé" as well as numerous self-published comics and zines. 2014-2018 Co-organiser of Gutter Fest, comics and fanzine festival in Barcelona, Spain. 2018 Artist in residence at the Maison des Auteurs in Angoulême. Marlene has two children and works as a cartoonist and illustrator in Berlin. In 2023 she received the Berlin Comic Scholarship and in 2024 the Comic Scholarship of the German Literature Fund. She is currently working on two new books.
