Josephine Mark studied cultural and media education in Merseburg and designed record covers, posters and flyers for bands and student projects. She has been publishing comics and cartoons under the label puvo productions since 2004. In her mostly humorous, often thought-provoking stories, she deals with everyday philosophy and social issues. Josephine Mark's illustrations can be found in books such as "Ich bin Flocke" (author: Maren Damman, Ueberreuter) or "Das große Glück der kleinen Dinge ... and where it hides" (author: Charlotte Caspa, Lappan). Her debut comic "Murr" was published in 2021 by Zwerchfell (new edition by Kibitz) and received the ICOM Independent Comic Award 2022. Kibitz released her multi-award-winning comic road movie "Trip mit Tropf" (Max and Moritz Award 2022 as "Best Comic for Children", Kranichsteiner Children's Literature Scholarship 2023, Uwe Lüders Prize for Illustration Art, etc.) as well as her comic adaptation of the "Bärbeiß" stories by Annette Pehnt and Jutta Bauer.
