Roya Soraya, born in Hannover in 1996, is an illustrator and comic book author based in Wuppertal. She made her debut with the graphic novel "Faust" (Zwerchfell Verlag), in which she retells the German literary classic from a modern and feminist perspective. She is currently working on an autobiographical graphic novel about a journey to her roots in Iran.
