Sebastian Lörscher
Sebastian Lörscher, born in Paris in 1985 and raised near Munich, is an illustrator and author living in Berlin. He studied Visual Communication at FH Würzburg and at Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee. His graphic novels have received numerous awards (including Sondermann Prize and Stiftung Buchkunst) and are published by various publishers in Germany and France. Lörscher's most recent works deal in particular with the medium of graphic journalism. With pen and sketchbook, he roams near and far to record his impressions in sketches made on location. His adventures are told in his books and in scenic readings on German stages. His most recent projects have taken him to Bangalore in southern India, to the Caribbean state of Haiti, through the wilds of Austria, to Nigeria and most recently through cold and wintery Berlin. Sebastian Lörscher works in the fields of illustration and graphic recording and holds all kinds of workshops on drawing and storytelling.
