Jean-Luc Delvaux, born in Huy, Belgium, in 1970, draws ever since being a child. His influences are Tillieux, Franquin and Will, the artists of his childhood heroes. After his formation on the institute St. Luc, he works for the Studio Graton on the Dossiers Michel Vaillant. Two books of his own hero Le Marquis are published by Lefrancq in 1995 and 1997. In addition, he publishes a comic page in the magazine Gazoline. With his friend Thierry Dubois, illustrator and specialist of the French Route Nationale 7, he creates the journalist Jacques Giphar (in German Jacques Gibrat), who is resolving crime cases in France in the 1950s. We are happy to have the sympathic Belgium artist Jean-Luc Delvaux in Erlangen 2024.
