Karochy

Karochy (also known as Karolina Chyzewska for those who can spell) was born in the city of Göttingen in 1986. At the age of ten, she met her first rival in a duel to see who could best draw the Sailor Soldiers. The bond was never broken and they remain best friends to this day. The rival/best friend went on to study in France; Karochy at the Kassel School of Art and Design. There she specialised in animation, illustration and graphic storytelling. During her studies, she met her comrades in action and began their journey to occupy the world, giving themselves the powerful name - The Golden Discofaust; the collective of women who rule through art, parties and love. Since graduating in 2014, Karochy has been working as a freelance animator, illustrator and comic artist in Berlin. In 2021 she received a grant from the Berlin Cultural Council and spent 6 months at the Cité internationale des Arts à Paris. In 2023 her story "Ostaschkow" was published in the anthology "Gerne würdest du allen so viel sagen" by avant-verlag. She is currently working on her graphic novel "Die Zeit ist um".
