The International Comics Seminar, founded by Paul Derouet in 1986, is the longest-running seminar for comics and graphic literature in the German-speaking area. The workshop, to which around 25 participants with drawing experience are selected each year, is led by alternating renowned comic artists and enjoys a reputation far beyond the borders of Germany. As part of its international collaboration, the seminar also regularly welcomes guests from all over the world - in 2023/24 from China, France, Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the US. Traditionally, the works of the two previous seminars are presented to the public as part of the Comic Salon. The seminar has been organised by Ralf Marczinczik for several years.
