Workshop with Takeuma

The workshop will be held in Japanese with translation into German.

In this landscape drawing workshop, we explore a pictorial approach to sketching on location. Inspired by the style of Japanese illustrator Takeuma, we will emphasise bold colours and simplified shapes, supported by written descriptions. Discover how you can use artistic expression to capture your own interpretation of the environment.

A sketchbook, pencils and a watercolour box are required for participation. The workshop will take place outdoors – a camping stool, water and sun protection are recommended.

Attendance at the workshop is by prior registration only, until Wednesday, 29 May via email to erika.leer@stadt.erlangen.de. A fee of 15,00 Euro (con. 7,50 Euro) will be charged. Registration is binding – if participation becomes impossible at short notice, please notify us. A waiting list will be maintained, allowing individuals to move up if necessary. The participation fee will be collected in cash at the Info Point in the Urban Sketching Village at Hugenottenplatz: Please arrive 15 minutes before the workshop begins at the Info Point. If the fee has not been paid by five minutes before the workshop starts, the spot will be given to a person on the waiting list.

Please note! From Thursday, 30 May registrations (and cancellations) via email will no longer be considered. From Thursday, 30 May to Sunday, 2 June this can only be done either via the info phone (+49 179 9020489) or on-site, at the Info Point in the Village.
