Anna Haifisch was born in Leipzig in 1986 and studied illustration at the Academy of Visual Arts there. In 2015 her first comic "Von Spatz" was published by Rotopol with a simultaneous release in French (Misma) and in 2018 in English (Drawn and Quarterly). From 2015 on she drew the series "The Artist" for the US website of VICE Magazine, which has since been published in three volumes in German by Reprodukt. Her short story collection "Schappi" was published by Rotopol in 2019 and were published in English by Frantagraphics in summer 2022. Her latest book "Ready America" will be relesed in summer 2024 as a co-edition by Rotopol and Frantagraphics. In 2013 she founded the Leipzig comic and graphics festival "The Millionaires Club" with seven friends. In 2020 Anna Haifisch was awarded with the Max and Moritz Award as best German comic artist.
