Christian Schlierkamp
Christian Schlierkamp, born in 1974 in Cologne, lives and works as an illustrator, author, and comic artist with his family in his rural studio in the south of Berlin.
After his training as a media designer for image and sound at the Cologne animation studio Lutterbeck, he moved to Berlin at the turn of the millennium to work on a total of 10 film productions for Warner Brothers, among others. These include productions such as “Der kleine Eisbär“, “Lauras Stern“, “Asterix und die Wikinger“ sowie “Der Mondmann“ based on the book by Tomi Ungerer and “Der kleine Rabe Socke“. For the past ten years, he has shifted his focus to illustration and graphic recording and was co-editor of a picture book about the Berlin artist Adolf Menzel, curated by James Gurney. In 2016, he went to New York for three months to study with the artist Garin Baker at the Art Students League.
