He grew up on Lake Constance and now lives in Munich. Whether he was born with a pencil in his hand can no longer be established beyond doubt. What is certain is that he has always recorded his thoughts and experiences in drawings. Throughout his school years, he decorated all his notebooks, books and desks with his figures. There were many attempts to regulate this, and he was commissioned to design greetings cards and pictures for every occasion within the family or circle of friends. At the same time, he illustrated two school newspapers and many posters for events at his school. This creative urge continues to this day as a hobby and his characters now adorn home-printed T-shirts, greeting cards and more.
