For the last 20 years, the artist collective SPRING publishes an anthology of the same name and offers a platform for the diverse voices of illustrators from Germany and other countries. What unites the diverse group is the passion for story-telling using a graphic medium – the visualisation of stories. Their priority is personal and professional exchange: All decisions are reached jointly and democratically. The artists come together every year to discuss relevant topics that would be interesting for the new issue. The power of the collective opens up a space for an exciting, constructive, and intensive collaboration. The documentary about SPRING was shot between 2018 and 2023.
