Workshop with Inma Serrano (in English)
In Urban Sketching, visual narrative is more important than technical correction. In this workshop we are going to find ways to tell the story of a place beyond the traditional rules of perspective. We will sketch the café we are in, translating what happens there, using line as the main graphic element. We will do some exercises based on the laws of perception (repetition, focus, contrast, common direction, size, etc.), translating the feelings and the rhythms that drive the scene.
A sketchbook, pencils and a watercolour box are required for participation.
Unfortunately, the workshop is already fully booked and we are currently unable to accept any more registrations. Thank you for your understanding.
Attendance at the workshop is by prior registration only, until Wednesday, 29 May via email to erika.leer@stadt.erlangen.de. A fee of 15,00 Euro (con. 7,50 Euro) will be charged. Registration is binding – if participation becomes impossible at short notice, please notify us. A waiting list will be maintained, allowing individuals to move up if necessary. The participation fee will be collected in cash at the Info Point in the Urban Sketching Village at Hugenottenplatz: Please arrive 15 minutes before the workshop begins at the Info Point. If the fee has not been paid by five minutes before the workshop starts, the spot will be given to a person on the waiting list.
Please note! From Thursday, 30 May registrations (and cancellations) via email will no longer be considered. From Thursday, 30 May to Sunday, 2 June this can only be done either via the info phone (+49 179 9020489) or on-site, at the Info Point in the Village.
