Workshop with Lis Watkins (in English)
In this workshop we will experiment with watercolour, inspired by the natural textures of plants and trees, contrasting that with the man-made structures in the park. We can think of the park being full of different characters: the giant trees with their long wavy limbs, the solid upright sculptures and statues, smaller shrubs and plants nearer ground level and of course, the human element of people, relaxing and enjoying being close to nature.
Materials required:
- Sketchbook that will take watercolour washes
- Simple set of watercolours
- A medium sized brush (one that you can make thin and thick lines with)
- Fineliner pen
- Pencil
- A portable sketching stool would be useful too
Unfortunately, the workshop is already fully booked and we are currently unable to accept any more registrations. Thank you for your understanding.
Attendance at the workshop is by prior registration only, until Wednesday, 29 May via email to erika.leer@stadt.erlangen.de. A fee of 15,00 Euro (con. 7,50 Euro) will be charged. Registration is binding – if participation becomes impossible at short notice, please notify us. A waiting list will be maintained, allowing individuals to move up if necessary. The participation fee will be collected in cash at the Info Point in the Urban Sketching Village at Hugenottenplatz: Please arrive 15 minutes before the workshop begins at the Info Point. If the fee has not been paid by five minutes before the workshop starts, the spot will be given to a person on the waiting list.
Please note! From Thursday, 30 May registrations (and cancellations) via email will no longer be considered. From Thursday, 30 May to Sunday, 2 June this can only be done either via the info phone (+49 179 9020489) or on-site, at the Info Point in the Village.
