Ventil Verlag publishes books beyond the mainstream, whether on music, film, politics, etc., whether fiction, non-fiction or in between. The focus is on subculture, film and pop history, cultural studies, social theory and youth literature. Since the beginning of the publishing house more than 20 years ago, comics have also been published, in recent years increasingly with a view to the interweaving of comics and music.
